iNeedStickers FAQ

Answers for collectors trading in person, remotely, and everywhere in between.

Support for collectors

This FAQ covers how to add friends by QR code, compare sticker books, share your duplicates list, trade in person, and trade remotely with iNeedStickers.

We are also working on making iNeedStickers multilingual over time so more collectors can use it comfortably.

Getting Started

Start with the album you already have and choose the setup method that matches how you track stickers today.

Can I start using iNeedStickers if my album already has stickers? Open

Yes. You do not need to start from scratch. You can create a book for an album that already has stickers and build your inventory from there.

That makes iNeedStickers useful whether your collection is brand new, half full, or close to complete.

Can I create a missing list instead of entering every sticker one by one? Open

Yes. If it is easier to think in terms of what is missing, iNeedStickers supports a missing-list workflow so you do not have to enter your whole sticker collection one sticker at a time.

This is one of the fastest ways to get started when your album already has a lot of stickers in it.

Do I need to start with an empty album? Open

No. iNeedStickers works for empty albums, partially filled albums, and collections that are already well underway.

You can set up your book in the way that feels most natural for your collection.

Friends and Comparing

Use the app to connect with other collectors, compare books, and move faster when a trade opportunity shows up.

Can I add friends by QR code or by link? Open

Yes. iNeedStickers lets you add friends by QR code so another collector can scan and send you a friend request quickly.

You can also share the add-friend link remotely, which is helpful when the other collector is not standing next to you but still wants to connect inside the app.

Do I need to add someone as a friend before comparing books? Open

Not always. If you want a fast side-by-side trade check, Quick Compare lets another collector scan a code or open a link and compare without first becoming a friend.

Adding friends is still useful when you trade often and want an easier way to compare books again later.

What is the difference between friends, compare, and quick compare? Open

Friends is the ongoing connection between collectors inside iNeedStickers. Compare is the regular friend-based workflow for reviewing what each person needs and has as duplicates.

Quick Compare is the faster option when two collectors want to compare right away by QR code or link, especially during an in-person trade.

Trading In Person

These workflows are best when two collectors are together and want to check a trade without losing track of their stickers.

Can I trade with someone in person using iNeedStickers? Open

Yes. iNeedStickers is designed to help with in-person sticker trading by making it easier to compare books, review duplicates, and see what each collector still needs.

If both people use the app, Quick Compare is usually the fastest place to start.

Can I trade with someone in person even if they are not on the app? Open

Yes. If the other collector is physically with you but not using iNeedStickers, Reservations is usually the better fit.

Reservations lets you put stickers aside while you review the trade, then update your inventory only after you are ready to process it.

When should I use Reservations? Open

Use Reservations when you are trading in person and want to hold stickers aside before finalizing the trade.

It is especially helpful when the other collector is not on the app and you still want a clean way to track what is going out and what is coming in.

Trading Remotely

Remote trading works best when you need to send a clean list or compare with someone who is not physically present.

What if I want to share my I Need and Duplicates with someone who is not on the app? Open

Use Export to Text. It creates a simple text version of your sticker needs and duplicates that you can send by text message, WhatsApp, Instagram DM, email, or anywhere else.

This is the best option when the other person is not on iNeedStickers and is not physically with you.

Can I trade with someone who is not physically with me? Open

Yes. If the other collector is remote, the easiest workflow is to share your sticker list with Export to Text or connect as friends and compare books inside the app.

That gives you a practical way to talk through sticker duplicates and missing stickers even when you are not in the same place.

When should I use Export to Text? Open

Use Export to Text when you want to share your sticker needs and duplicate list with someone outside the app, especially if they are trading remotely.

It is the quickest way to send a readable trade list without asking the other person to sign up first.

Features and Workflows

Choose the workflow that fits the kind of trade you are trying to make instead of forcing every collector into the same flow.

What is the difference between Quick Compare, Reservations, and Export to Text? Open

Quick Compare is best when two app users want a fast sticker comparison. Reservations is best for in-person trades when you want to hold stickers aside before processing the trade.

Export to Text is best for sharing your sticker list with someone who is not on the app or is trading remotely.

What if I am just trading duplicates for duplicates? Open

That works well in iNeedStickers. If you are trading duplicates for duplicates, start on the Duplicates screen and use Reservations to set aside the stickers you are giving away.

Then, after the trade, use the Add Stickers button to record the duplicate stickers you received.

What if I don't see an album I am collecting stickers for here? Open

Please email support@ineedstickers.com with details about the album you are collecting, including anything that helps us identify it clearly.

We will review the album information, get familiar with it, and do our best to include it as an album option in iNeedStickers.

Will processing a trade affect the other user's inventory? Open

No. Processing a trade, quick compare transaction, or reservation only updates your own inventory in iNeedStickers.

The other collector's inventory is not changed automatically, so they need to update their own book on their side if they want their list to stay accurate.
